2010-08-06: Fortech joins Let’s Do It Romania! What is Let's Do It Romania!? | Let's Do It Romania! is the largest social involvement project in the country and entails the cleaning of natural areas in Romania, in a single day. The day established for the National Cleaning is 25th September.
The project was implemented for the first time in Estonia in 2008 and due to its success (the people from Estonia cleaned in a single day the entire territory from the garbage placed inappropriately), the initiative was taken and implemented by Latvia and Lithuania (2009 and 2010). In 2010 another three countries joined the program (Portugal, Romania and Slovenia). Romania is the largest participating country so far!
| There are several forms of involvement in the project Let's Do It Romania!:
- Cleaning: on 25th September.
- Mapping: during the mapping process we look for dumping places and collect information about them in order to create the waste map. The mapping begins Friday, 6th August.
- Local coordination: A local coordinator is a person responsible for a few villages or communals, who will be in contact with the authorities of these villages and the volunteers who will do mapping and cleaning around these localities.
- Organization: Involvement in activities such as data processing, promotion, collection of funds and others.
| Fortech gets involved in the cleaning | Fortech, as a company, gets involved in the National Cleaning on 25th September 2010. The volunteers from Fortech who signed up for the project will form a team and will get a certain area to clean. We are aware that the problem of waste thrown away in the nature affects us all. In Romania the problem of the waste is very extended and very real, and we cannot stay indifferent in front of such situations, and this why ... Fortech is going to clean in county Cluj. In a single day!
