Start up

Fortech began its activity in December 2003, with a team of 5 experienced software engineers. The initial core team had an already extended experience of around 5 years in nearshore software development with medium and big projects.

Stability & Continuity

Fortech followed a steady growth model which ensures company stability and continuity. Growth achievement through a commitment to customer satisfaction, employee engagement, and core profitability - organic growth - is a long term strategy for our company. Our organic development represents the underlying strength and vitality of the core business and is created through an increasing value added.


The internal growth was normally followed by a constant growth in the number of our customers - if in 2003 we started with one client, during 2009 we have surpassed the number of 30 clients, and we are proud to say that around 15 of them are long term partners. Please have a look at our key dates:

2010...

We've started this year with a long-awaited relocation to a new office. The entire Fortech team is now united in one business location, which stands as a label of our evolution as a business and organic growth.

Achievements:
  • new headquarters for the entire team

  • IT Fair participation: CeBIT Fair - Hannover

  • we successfully received the ISO 9001:2008 Certification of Quality

  • Fortech was ranked number 285 on the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 EMEA 2010, a ranking of the 500 fastest growing technology companies in EMEA

2009...

This year we've focused consistent efforts on technical workshops, soft skills trainings and knowledge improvement of our people, to better respond to our long term partners.

Achievements:
  • consolidation of iPhone development direction, which resulted into a dedicated team formation and successful releases of custom iPhone applications which can now be found on iPhone store

  • formation of Flex/Flash team 

  • valuable improvements of the internal processes - training & peer review activities, quality assurance process, intranet... acknowledge by the ISO Audit

  • the 3rd edition of the internship program, which established a tradition and consolidated collaboration with universities 

2008…

This year Fortech has reached 85 people and is still expanding. The ongoing projects require lots of resources.

Achievements:
  • our dynamic Quality Assurance team is awarded for its merits regarding the excellent work done in the field of software testing

  • direct involvement in Open Source local movement

  • the 2nd edition of the internship program, following the success of the first, which took place the previous year

2007…

This year is significant for the complexity of our actions. The number of people at Fortech is now 70. We gain new customers too.

  • several QA testers receive their ISTQB Certifications

  • we take part in several courses and trainings: CISCO Courses, Sales Process Overview Courses, Time Management Training, Leadership Training

  • preparation of the first Internship Program

  • we undertake the CMMI internal Gap Analysis

  • we undergo the annual ISO Audit

2006…

Fortech reaches the number of 50 people and 15 customers.

  • we become a Microsoft Certified Partner

  • we undergo ISO Audit Certification

2005…

Fortech doubles the number of its past year employees, reaching  25 people and gains 7 customers.

  • we successfully receive the ISO 9000:2001 Certification of Quality

  • the Quality Assurance Department starts expanding

2004…

By now Fortech has 10 people.

Achievements:
  • we become an ARIES member

  • we are co-founder of ARIES Transilvania

  • we enroll in the Microsoft Empower Program

  • start up year for our first big project

  • foundation of our Human Resources Department. This need is a direct result from our desire to gain valuable people and train them to a professional level of work
