Present in Washington to Celebrate Almost Two Decades of Solid Ties with US Clients

2019 has been a milestone year for strengthening Fortech’s relationship with the US market, as it marks over 15 years of growing commercial engagements with North-American clients, which are now accounting for around 45% of its business portfolio. Building on a solid foundation, and a wealth of first-hand garnered market intelligence, Fortech broadened its scope and offering for the US market, by launching a new sales & consulting hub in Chicago in early May. The company immediately followed with the official announcement of its first Romanian-US joint venture, AIPERION – a disruptive fintech player, specialized in AI-powered risk management solutions.

These recent steps, along with its reputation as one of Romania’s most successful software business development stories for the US market, placed Fortech on the list of the special guests invited to speak at Alianta Gala in Washington this early October. Fortech’s CEO, Călin Văduva, took the stage to offer reflections on scaling a tech business, as part of the “Tech Bridge” panel, moderated by renown Romanian serial entrepreneur, Radu Georgescu.

Dedicated to strengthening cultural, economic, and security ties, Alianta-Gala is an annual event organized by the Washington, DC-based Alianta – the national organization of Americans, US companies, and institutions working to generate productive interchanges between the US and Romania. The event represents a forum for leading figures from the Romanian tech community and US CxO, VCs, investors, and industry experts to network and draw strategic business partnerships as well as celebrate their cultural affinity.

“Home to both innovative startups and large enterprises alike, with an ever-growing focus on technology as competitive advantage, the US business climate continues to mirror our aspirations in terms of ideal market, as it always has. For over 15 years now, we’ve been a reliable tech partner for US businesses, acting as integrated parts of their engineering ecosystems. Not only have they helped shape our services portfolio, they’ve also inspired our adaptative, entrepreneurial business culture. Today I attend the Alianta Gala to honor these collaborations and express our support for the Romanian-American community, which continues to pave the way for strong Romanian US business partnerships”. Business Confidence Holds Steady

The US presented itself as the market of choice for Fortech from its early beginnings back in 2003, due to its size and solid overall business environment and tradition.

The IT Services spending in the US has been on a healthy growth trend in the past 15 years, being heavily geared towards innovative and sophisticated solutions, such as digitization, cloud migration, AI and automation. Even the period of economic restraints has led to a focus on clear return from software and thus triggered new waves of technology innovation. According to the research consultancy IDC reports, the global information technology is on track to reach $5 trillion in 2019, with the US market accounting for almost half of the global market value, generating remarkable opportunities for software companies like Fortech.

In this context of ever-growing requests from US clients at the forefront of digitization, Fortech has continued to expand and innovate its custom software development offering.  The company’s offer for the US market covers today the end-to-end spectrum of the software life-cycle from business analysis, UI/UX, software architecture, application development, testing, DevOps, maintenance, or project management.

Fortech also sustains growth via a range of applied technologies including JAVA, .NET, C++, Python, Web, Mobile technologies, and has accelerated the adoption of the fast-emerging high-value technology segments such as Cloud, AI or machine learning. Throughout the last 15 years, Fortech’s team has acquired and nurtured robust expertise at all levels of development from fast prototyping to building complex software platforms, system integrations or migrations, across a range of business sectors. Through joint ventures or new specialization areas, the company has also widened its verticals expertise, currently placing an intense focus on Fintech and Healthcare as new entries besides its longstanding focus in AutomotiveeCommerce, and IoT.
