We are proud to announce that Fortech has recently obtained the ISO 27001:2017 certification for its Information Security Management System (ISMS) and an ISO 9001:2015 re-certification for its Quality Management System (QMS).
The ISMS certification was an intense process that brought together multiple teams and departments in Fortech, who worked for achieving the same objectives. We are happy that at the end of it we received official recognition for our efforts in providing a strong and reliable information security framework for our clients’ data.
“Following few days of intense audits, receiving this good news validated all the hard work done to achieve another milestone in our operational excellence journey.” (Suneel Sharma, COO Fortech)
According to the International Organization for Standardization, ISO 27001:2017 is a globally recognized best practice framework for establishing, implementing, maintaining and continually improving an information security management system (ISMS). It also refers to a lot of other regulations and frameworks, such as GDPR or The Network and Information Systems (NIS) Regulations 2018.
Meeting customers’ needs and exceeding their expectations are our primary aims. Thus, the ISO 9001:2015 re-certification was a natural step in our pursuit for efficiency and high-quality services.
ISO 9001:2015 is the international standard that specifies requirements for a quality management system (QMS). As Nigel Croft, chair of the ISO subcommittee stated in an article, by combining the process with risk-based thinking and engaging the Plan-Do-Check-Act cycle at all levels in the organization, the new version of the standard focuses more on performance rather than documentation and processes (as were the previous upgrades).
Following quality standards helps us to streamline our processes, document procedures and work instructions. They become the basis for the way we do business. We have managed to put in place a standard that gives us the structure for measuring and controlling the core processes such as sales orders, design, production, inspection or delivery, ensuring our customers that their requirements are met.
We do this while keeping an eye at the organizational conditions under which our entrepreneurial DNA and innovation can flourish. IT industry is a dynamic environment, and only by embracing change and nurturing innovation, we can adapt and respond to our long-term customer needs.
Keeping this balance between process and information security necessities and open innovation culture is challenging. However, we know that this is the right way for achieving sustained success and sustainable business.
